Track and field action is back – and we’re delighted to once again be able to offer National Championships in August.
And our 4J Studios Age Group Champs will take place in Aberdeen on the weekend of August 28/29.
U15s will compete on Saturday and U13s on Sunday with the U20 programme spread over the two days.
The global pandemic ensured we were unable to stage national medal opportunities throughout 2020, although we were very pleased at that time to present open graded events.
Now, with a series of protocols in place, capped numbers and a lot of co-operation from all involved, athletics in Scotland can savour real competition after a two-year hiatus.
Aberdeen Sports Village offers a superb venue for a championship event and we are urging athletes in the U20, U15 and U13 age groups – and their coaches and parents – to take advantage and enter now for August 28/29.
Make sure your scottishathletics membership is up to date prior to going online to enter. Thanks.
U15 Girls events are already starting to fill up fast – so please do not delay. And the U13 Girls long jump is popular, too. Waiting lists will operate when events fill up.
Closing date: 11.59pm on Thursday 12 August

KEY QUESTIONS WHILE ENTERING . . .
Question: I can’t get to the entry page as the fixture listing just says entries open soon. What do I do?
Answer: As entry is open only to members at the moment, the athlete needs to log in to their account before completing their entry. Log in, and then enter via the fixture page within the portal.
Question: The page says there are no fees set so I can’t complete my entry. What do I do?
Answer: Similarly, entry fees are only available to members currently. The athlete needs to make sure that their membership is valid for the competition date when they enter (i.e. it does not expire between now and the competition date), otherwise they will not be recognised as a current member by the entry form.
So, please renew, then return to the entry form to complete the entry.
COACHES AND SPECTATORS
Coaches and spectators are required to register with us in advance of attending the 4J Studios Age Groups on August 28/29.
We will open that up from this Monday (July 12) on the link here
