Throws, Jumps set for Dundee; Pitreavie AAC job; Nominate HLMs

Caird Park in Dundee is the venue on Saturday for our latest Throws and Jumps Grand Prix event.
The first GP in each of these events were held at different venues in May – at Grangemouth and Pitreavie – but this time our throwers and jumpers will gather together in a combined timetable.
We would urge all those competing this weekend in Dundee to read the ‘Athlete Information’ document on the Event Section pages.
Around 200 athletes in all will take part and the start lists and pools are also listed online (see link above).

Want to work in athletics?
There is a part-time vacancy currently with Pitreavie AAC for a Community Athletics Assistant Coach.
Pitreavie AAC is a well-established and successful athletics and running club based in Dunfermline.
The club, a charity, has a membership of over 350 members developing a pathway for total beginners through to Olympians.
Pitreavie AAC are looking for an assistant coach/es to help increase membership numbers by supporting a new community athletics programme for athletes aged 5 to 12 years old.

Honorary Life Membership – the full list
Each year scottishathletics considers the award of Honorary Life Membership to people who have made a significant contribution to the sport at National level over a number of years.
This is primarily a non-competitive award for example; coach, official, administrator but, in special circumstances, competition achievements may be a significant factor.
scottishathletics are now seeking nominations from our clubs and Commissions for 2021.
These awards are rare and there is no requirement or expectation that awards will be made in each year. So please consider carefully and only nominate candidates who have had a National presence over a long period of time, and whose work has greatly benefitted the sport.
