Clubs – please license events for #4J Studios Together Apart Districts in May

Clubs can license events here

scottishathletics are looking forward to the 4J Studios Together Apart Series and 4J Studios SUPERteams coming up next month – with a big helping hand from our clubs.

We believed smaller, localised events would work well during the month of May as a lead-in to further track and field competition later in the season and that approach has dovetailed with the on-going easing of Covid-19 restrictions.

Up and down the country some 40 clubs have contacted us about staging events for the 4J Studios Together Apart Districts and the 4J Studios SUPERteams.

Confirmed fixtures are appearing on our Events section calendar pages and we’re pleased to see around a dozen clubs take that step (so far) with events now listed.

Four East clubs – Corstorphine AAC, Harmeny AC, Team East Lothian and Livingston AC – are working together on two events in a great example of a team effort. Pitreavie AAC and PH Racing are similarly working together.

Now we would like to remind clubs looking to set up these events they need to go through the licensing process to then become part of the overall picture nationally.

And athletes entering these events also need to be members of scottishathletics so now is a good time to renew if your membership has lapsed.

We would like to express our thanks to clubs for showing in interest in hosting these events in May.

There’s still time for others to set something up for either.
