New Scottish club to compete in National Athletics League

For summer 2021, the National Athletics League has put in place a revised fixture list with a modified timetable to minimise travel and the need for overnight accommodation.

And our Scottish representatives, the Jaguars Track and Field club, are keen to invite athletes to be involved.

6 June – Manchester Regional Athletics Arena

3 July – Manchester Regional Athletics Arena

7 August – Robin Park Athletics Stadium, Wigan

28 August – Wavertree Stadium, Liverpool

All matches will start at 1pm and finish at 5pm.

The Jaguars Track and Field Club, constituted in 2020, is the only Scottish club competing in the National Athletic League, which was formed following the disbandment of the British Athletics League and the UK Women’s Athletic League.

Membership is open to all Senior and U20 athletes, who currently have a Scottish First Claim club and we invite all athletes, who feel they would benefit from this pathway, to register with Mark Stringer by email to:

Jaguarstandf.membership@gmail.com

To cover our admin costs a one off registration fee of £10 is payable. Annual membership subs only due if you are selected for any of the matches.

It would be appreciated if clubs could promote this pathway to any athletes in their clubs. If you are looking for more information please contact Moira Maguire (Chair) by email to:

mmaguire3@blueyonder.co.uk

Athletes who are members of English clubs can join the Jaguars as HCAs (Higher Claim Athletes).

Joma are supporting the team with sponsored competition kit and leisure wear and we are hoping to finalise a lucrative three-year sponsorship deal before the start of the season.

With thanks to Moira Maguire
