scottishathletics are staging our Annual Awards once again later this year – with support from our sponsors 4J Studios.

With no indoor gathering feasible the usual scale of our Annual Dinner, the 4J Studios Annual Awards for 2020 will take the form of a special programme on our YouTube channel.

Given the special circumstances of 2020, we have created two new awards for this particular year.

The 4J Studios Innovation Award is designed to recognise, celebrate and acknowledge some of the extra efforts by clubs or individuals during lockdown to keep the sport growing.

And the Janice Eaglesham Para Development Club of the Year award, as the title suggests, is our way of supporting an integrated approach to training and developing Para athletes at clubs across Scotland. This award will be retained beyond 2020.

We have been delighted to have received a huge response from the athletics community in Scotland to our appeal for nominations in various categories.

In fact, no fewer than 94 suggestions were submitted and that feedback has been so important to us in preparing short-lists.

Many congratulations to those listed here and now in contention for these two special awards.

Here are the short-lists (in alphabetical order):
