Coronavirus: How to Check if an Event is Cancelled

scottishathletics can now confirm that the Tru Wealth National 6 and 4-Stage Road Relays will not be rescheduled for later in 2020.

Our Road Running and Cross Country Commission took the decision reluctantly but with little option after the coronavirus crisis caused the cancellation of the March 28 date in Livingston.

All entry fees paid to scottishathletics by clubs for the original date will be refunded (please do bear with us).

One major issue taken into consideration by the Commission and scottishathletics when taking the decision was to try and protect club income via various races and events and that restricted significantly the dates available to reschedule events.

We can confirm that the Tru Wealth Scottish 10-Mile Champs and the West District 10-Mile Champs will take place within the rescheduled Tom Scott Road Races at Strathclyde Park on Saturday 15 August.

There are also below rescheduled dates for Ultra Trail Champs and for the East 10K Road Champs at the Round the Houses race.

‘Unfortunately we’ve had to cancel the 2020 Tru Wealth National Road Relays due in Livingston and the event will not return until 2021,’ said Alasdhair Love, Events Manager.

‘With a number of events to try and fit in, we just didn’t have enough date opportunities to fit everything in.

‘There are club events coming around August, September and October which are important for their revenue streams and the Road Running and Cross Country Commission are trying, where possible, to protect those events.’

Here are some new dates following discussions by the Road Running and Cross Country Commission:

*Tru Wealth National 10 Mile Championships – Will be included in rescheduled Tom Scott event (Saturday 15 August)

*West 10 Mile Championships – Will be included in rescheduled Tom Scott event (Saturday 15 August)

*East District 10k – Will be included in rescheduled Round the Houses (Sunday 20 September)

*Ultra Trail Championships – Initially with Cateran 55 on Saturday 16 May (but may move again, if no suitable date can be found will not happen)

PLEASE NOTE: Other events that you do not see listed here – like the Tru Wealth 5k Champs at Silverknowes and – are still being discussed for new dates.
