4J Senior and U17 Champs set for Emirates Arena – new timetable

The 4J Senior Indoor and U17 Champs will take place this coming Saturday at the Emirates Arena.

It is always a significant event in the indoor season calendar and we would like to thank all athletes entered for your support.

Unfortunately, we’ve had to cancel certain (non-laned races) events from the timetable with Covid-19 restrictions laid down by the Scottish Government and sportscotland remaining in place.

This also affects spectator numbers within the Emirates Arena on Saturday. Coaches and Officials are not counted in that number limit, which is 200. Registrations are now closed.

scottishathletics continues to work hard altering timetables, contacting athletes and seeking alternative dates and opportunities to reschedule events – so we can meet our target of offering championship competition to as many members as possible.

To this end, we’ve contacted all athletes entered for Senior races at 400m, 800m and 1500m. We will continue to advise as alternative plans are firmed up.

The Scottish U17 Champs lined up for Saturday are not affected in any way by Covid-19 restrictions.

A new, final timetable for the Seniors and U17s is now online on the Event section.

This includes four invitational races which we have been permitted to stage in order to provide a restricted number of athletes an opportunity to show current form in advance of the selection for the DNA International on Saturday 5 February.
