CLUBS: Enter now for Lindsays National XC Relays at Cumbernauld

The scottishathletics District XC Relays are fast-approaching – and we’re absolutely delighted once again with the response in terms of entries received from clubs.

We’ve had hundreds and hundreds of names put forward for the events at three venues on Saturday 13 October.

Over 2100 names, in fact, in terms of completed teams and a few more names, as well, so many thanks to all the athletes, coaches and cubs who are making such a big commitment to competing at cross country.

Start-lists are now online for Irvine, Glamis Castle and Dores and we’re now asking athletes and team managers now to check these (look down the left of the pages on our Events Section, please).

If a name is missing, it means that there are membership fees due and these should be paid in order to be eligible to compete in the District XC Relays on Saturday 13 October (and indeed the Lindsays National XC Relays a couple of weeks later). Thanks.

The Tartan Running Shorts podcast, which is presented by Kyle Greig and Tom Brian, had a special guest last week – Alex Jackson.

The guys rightly described volunteer and well-known cross country administrator Alex as a ‘scottishathletics legend’ who has put in many years of dedication to our sport, and was rewarded with an MBE earlier this year.

Listen to Alex on the link below chat all things cross country from around 45 minutes into the podcast.
