FPSG SUPERteams are a big success

Enter FPSG U13 Champs on Saturday 10 March (Born between 1/9/05 and 31/8/07)

All at scottishathletics would like for forward our thanks to everyone involved in the FPSG SUPERteams event at the Emirates Arena on Sunday.

This is our primary development event for the youngest athletes at our clubs and it was brilliant to see 110 teams from clubs the length and breadth of Scotland supporting this event.

Results are now online on the Events page section and we would like to thank everyone for their patience on Sunday as the Results were being compiled (2000 or so performances!)

Four U12 athletes are each given the chance to compete in four events and we also want to recognise the superb effort by our volunteers and scottishathletics Officials in helping to make the FPSG SUPERteams happen.

The atmosphere this year was second to none and the closing ‘warm-down’ orchestrated by commentator, Connor Henderson, really was something to behold as dozens of young athletes partied on the track. It should be all about fun and development at this age, in truth.

There was victory for North Ayrshire A in the girls competition with Law and District A taking the silvers and Annan A the bronzes. Giffnock North AC took gold in the boys competition with Law and District A taking the silvers. Pitreavie B took the bronze medals.

Well done to those who made the podium and landed medals – but also to ALL the clubs for making the effort to be there. And we would stress again our fulsome appreciation for scottishathletics Officials.

It has been a truly hectic week or so following three FPSG championships the previous weekend, two days at the Scottish Schools and then the SUCA Indoor champs and the FPSG SUPERteams. The commitment and dedication remains unstinting.
