Sammi short-listed for top award – and read her blog

Sammi Kinghorn has been in warm-weather training recently in Tenerife – but she’s never far from the news!

The FPSG Para Athlete of the Year had an amazing 2017 and now the double World champion from London has been short-listed for the Evening Times ‘Scotswoman of the Year’ award.

It’s an accolade that has been celebrating female achievement for many years and six individuals will be in with a shout of the top award, which is presented at a dinner at the Glasgow City Chambers later in the year.

As well as that, Sammi has been busy up-dating her blog for sponsors Harper Macleod and her latest looks at the mind games involved in top level sport. Sammi even reveals she never slept at all the night prior to her first final at the World Para Champs in London last summer.

Sammi was a double award winner last September at the Team Scotland Scottish Sports award – winning both the Disability Sport award and the overall ‘Sportsperson of the Year’ award
