With most senior athletes competing for their clubs in the national leagues, there was an opportunity for the younger athletes to shine at Livingston – and they did.

The following athletes achieved personal bests:

Mark Guthrie 55.59m, Ben Main 52.32m both 6kg, Jack Mitchell 46.61m 5kg

Andrew Peck 44.56m and Cameron McCorquodale 26.10m both 4kg

With the 3kg hammer, Kimberley Reed achieved 67.95m, Heather Fawcett 40.44m, Kimberley Hawke 31.09m and Rachel Hynd 23.53m.

Under11: Meghan Porterfield 20.80m with the 2kg

There was also PBs for newcomers Patricia Phillips and Isla Fawcett and season’s best from David Little, Mhairi Porterfield and Lisa McAlpine with the rest of the throwers getting near their personal best.
