British Athletics website announcement

Three Scottish athletes have been selected to represent GB and NI at the World Relays in the Bahamas next month.

It is the strongest representation of Scots ever involved for this global event.

Alyson Bell, Brodie Young and Nicole Yeargin have all been picked within a 32-strong selection by British Athletics.

We send our warm congratulations to these athletes and their coaches as well as their families and the clubs involved in their development over the years.

The World Relays are being held in the Bahamas on May 4-5 with events n the men’s and women’s 4x100m and 4x400m as well as the 4x400m mixed relay.

British Athletics will have target of qualifying  all relay teams for the Paris Olympic Games.

Following a highly successful campaign at Budapest in 2023 where GB and NI won medals in four out of five relay finals, UKA Olympic Head Coach Paula Dunn is aiming to secure places in all five Paris events.
