Scottish Combined Event athletes were in action over the weekend at the England Athletics Champs in Sheffield.
And three Scots finished in the top ten in the Men’s heptathlon event with Craig Moncur close to the podium as he finished fourth.
Shaftesbury Barnet athlete Craig totalled 5132 points and Alister Mackay of Team East Lothian was close to the 5000 points mark, too, as he tallied 4962 in Sheffield.
Cal McLennan of Edinburgh AC was in ninth place with 4588 points. The England Athletics event doubled up as the UK Champs for Combined Events.
The Sheffield event also featured a British Milers Club indoor event and there were some good performances in an all-time context by young Scots.
Angus Wilkinson of East Kilbride AC clocked 4:03.57 for 1500m to go seventh on the U17 all-time list indoors.
At 3000m, Oliver Patton of Kilbarchan went fourth all-time with 8:24.44 with Reiss Marshall of Fife AC now fifth thanks to his run of 8:25.40.
Aberdeen AAC athlete Stefanie Tucker went 24th on the Women’s all time list over 3000m with 9:24.32.
