UK Athletes Commission – three Scots stand for election
The election process for seven members to join the UK Athletics Athletes’ Commission is open and runs through to Monday 1 November 2021 (5pm).
And there are three Scottish athletes among the 14 who are standing – hill runner Jacob Adkin, Para medallist Maria Lyle and double National XC champion Mhairi Maclennan.
All athletes that have competed for Great Britain and Northern Ireland in the last six years are eligible to vote and have been emailed a unique voting link, where they will nominate their top candidates.
The 14 candidates are:
Jacob Adkin; Hetty Bartlett; Columba Blango; Gemma Bridge; Ashley Bryant; Joe Fuggle; Joe Harris; Dominic King; Lizzy Korczak; Maria Lyle; Mhairi Maclennan; Chris McAlister; Holly Mills; Shelayna Oskan-Clarke
