Picked for Scotland: Athletes named for new 53k Trail event in April

RunThrough Lake District 53k & 23k Ultra Trails | 11th April 2026

Scotland will be sending teams to compete at the Run Through Lake District Running Festival – with selection for the 53k event in Keswick later this year.

And we are delighted today to announce the eight athletes selected to represent Scotland at this new event on April 11.

The race starts in Keswick and runs along Derwent Water and through Seathwaite. Ascending Scafell Pike into Wasdale. Around Kirk Fell to Honister Pass before summiting High Spy and descending Catbells back to Keswick.

Athletes will tackle 2640m of ascent and descent over the 53km course.

Scotland Men:

Robin Downie (Lochaber AC); Alastair Graves (Ochil); Angus Irvine (Motherwell AC); Keith Wigley (Swaledale)

Scotland Women:

Nikki Arthur (Manx Fell Runners); Catriona Graves (Highland HR); Kirsty Oldham (Dundee Hawkhill); Kari Robertson
