As we draw towards the close of the year, it’s time to offer our heartfelt thanks as a sport to the people without whom there would be no competition – our Officials.

Throughout the year, these hard-working volunteers give up their time to make sure athletes can achieve their goals and enjoy competing together, whether taking their first steps in the sport, or setting new Scottish records.

The video above was compiled for the National Officials’ Conference in November, and highlights some of the great achievements of our Officials this year, with 207 events delivered through the winter 2022/23 indoor season and 410 events delivered during the 2023 summer season.

Those are incredible figures for a volunteer workforce of 268 Officials.

To all of you, we say a huge THANK YOU for all your hard work, dedication and commitment to our sport.
