We’re running out superlatives for super Samantha Kinghorn!
The T53 100m champion concluded her stunning Paralympics by helping GB and NI to silver medal in the Universal 4x100m Relay.
China took gold with World Record 45.07 and GB were second with new European Record 46.01.
Zac Shaw and Jonnie Peacock had the British quartet very much in the hunt and Ali Smith on the third leg gave Sammi, on the anchor, a chance before China finished very strongly.
So, just to recap, that’s one gold and a stunning four silver medals for Sammi in Paris – she was second to Catherine Debrunner over 800m, 1500m and 400m earlier in the week.
Gold in the 100m final came with a Paralympic Games Record and tonight’s team effort was a European Record.
Many congratulations to Sammi, her family, coach Rodger Harkins and all with Paralympics GB.

‘Five from five medals! I am so chuffed to come through,’ said Sammi.
‘ I was hopeful we could get a silver. Ali is so fantastic at running on that mark. I just watched her mouth shout ‘Sammi’. I couldn’t hear her in that stadium. As soon as I heard that, I was like, ‘let’s go’.
‘I am pretty chuffed to keep a hold of the Chinese. He’s a 44s man, and I’m a 51s girl, so I am proud of myself.
‘I hit 20mph tonight which is the quickest I’ve been the whole Paralympic Games which is mental on the last night.’
