Allan Smith clears 2.26m at the Scottish Seniors last year – photo by Bobby Gavin
All roads lead to the Emirates Arena in Glasgow again this Saturday with the latest fixture in the scottishathletics Indoor Season
Around 450 athletes have put themselves forward for the Scottish Seniors and the U17 Age Group Champs β with the action starting at 10am and running through to around 5pm,
It should be a very exciting day of athletics with PBs, final slots and podium places up for grabs in both championships via a merged programme throughout the day.
All the start-lists are now online on our Events section for the Scottish Seniors and U17 Age Groups. Please do check the page for your event and the timetable is also available thereon as well as above.
Note that declarations start from 8.30am on Saturday β and there is an opportunity between 6pm and 7pm on Friday for declarations at the Emirates (for those who are Glasgow-based and may wish to save themselves the time on Saturday)
Among the Senior events which look sure to catch the eye is the menβs high jump with Allan Smith, David Smith and Ray Bobrownicki all on the start-lists. These three athletes produced a terrific high jump competition last year with Allan and David both clearing 2.26 that day.
And Allan certainly looks to be in fine form after having opened his year and his indoor season with a 2.26m win in France over the weekend. Check out his winning jump on Instagram
