Eilish, Weynay land titles with team golds for Shettleston and Edinburgh AC

Eilish McColgan and Weynay Ghebresilasie made the British Champs podium at the TCS London Marathon – and claimed our Scottish Championship titles.

And we are now able to confirm our medallists in individual age group categories with Masters medals in ten-year bands for this event.

The team races are compiled on an aggregate time for three counters and these saw victories for Edinburgh AC in the women’s and Shettleston Harriers in the men’s.

With Dougie Selman a bronze medallist in the Senior Men;s race, there was a team bronze for Jenny Selman in the colours of Fife AC. Dougie also won team silver!

Shettleston’s winning team featured Fred Davies (2:23:21); Calum Harrington Vogt (2:26:41); Ross McMullen (2:30:18).

Corstorphine AAC were second thanks to Dougie Selman (2:21:48); Julian Barrable (2:28:21); James Badenoch (2:32:55)

And Edinburgh AC were third thanks to Jack Jones (2:25:45); Stuart Johnston (2:34:25); Adam Rouse (2:37:03)

Edinburgh AC’s winning women’s team featured Doireann Hughes (2:52:30); Isla Cubitt (2:54:44); Barrie Lyell (3:04:29).

Fife AC took second place thanks to Jenny Selman (2:52:06); Sheena Logan (2:56:40) and Janet Dickson (3:19:28).

And third place there went to Shettleston Harriers thanks to Brogan Wallace (2:44:32); Anna MacFadyen (3:06.58); Holly Morrison (3:23:50).

Sarah Potter took bronze at Senior Women’s level and there was a further medal in the family as her dad, Alex, took M60 silver in 3:11.51. Great effort!
