Scotland will compete in two ‘event specific’ matches later this year in the Throws and Combined Event.

We’re delighted to confirm plans for these events in early September with scottishathletics now looking to flag up the selection criteria.

The England Athletics Throws Fest will take place on the weekend of September 3-4 and at Moulton College in Northampton.

Scotland selection will be for teams at U18, U20 and U23. Selection standards have been set out in our International handbook.

The Combined Events International (for Home Countries) is taking place over the same weekend at the Mary Peters stadium in Belfast.

Age groups for Belfast will be U17, U20, U23 and Senior with a maximum of two males and two females to be picked by scottishathletics per competition.

Please note that the winner of the scottishathletics Combined Events Champs in these age groups (July 9 and 10 in Dundee) will earn automatic selection. Again, there are selection standards now in place for this Scotland team.

The selection date for both of the above is Monday 15 August.

Further details are in the International Handbook which is lodged online here.
