Scotland teams will compete at the Virgin Money Mini Marathon event in London next month.

And we’re delighted to now confirm our team selections for the races on Sunday 3 October.

Four teams of six athletes have been picked for the U17 and U15 age groups in London and it is great to be able to offer this opportunity to 24 young athletes.

Many congratulations to all the athletes selected for the London Mini Marathon and to their coaches and families as well as the clubs working hard to develop these young athletes.

We make it 14 different clubs represented with large selections for Giffnock North AC (five) and Team East Lothian (three) while Aberdeen AAC have three, including two from one family via picks for brothers Kai and Rhys Crawford.

Scotland U17 Women:

With time constraints after decisions from the event organisers, we were unable to stage trial races with selections based on all known form at 1500m and 3000m distances on the track.

The races on October 3 are over the final 2.6k of the marathon course.
