Scotland will send fives athletes to the next British Cross Challenge event.
Antrim’s Greenmount Campus is the venue for IAAF-accredited international races on Saturday 16 January as well as being part of the British series.
And Scotland will be represented by three men and two women at Senior level, with the Road Running and Cross Country Commission selection policy allowing for up to six athletes to travel for what is a cross country competition opportunity. There is no actual team event in Antrim.
National XC champion Andrew Butchart leads the Scottish men’s selection with fellow GB international, Luke Caldwell, also selected. There is also a run for GB hill running international, Andy Douglas.
Scotland international and Canadian collegiate XC champion, Sarah Inglis, will also head to Antrim. Joining her as an U23 selection will be Steph Pennycook.
All at scottishathletics would like to congratulate the athletes picked for Scotland for the Antrim International XC and their families and coaches, as well as the clubs involved in their development over the past few years.
