Picked for Scotland! Hill runners selected for Snowdon International

Sunday 25th June 2023

Scottish hill runners head to Wales next month for international action.

And we are delighted to name teams for the 2023 Snowdon International on Saturday 15 July in the traditional Senior event.

Nine athletes are picked in all and the teams include former Snowdon winners and a number of GB and NI internationals over recent years.

Previous winners Andy Douglas (Inverclyde) in 2019 and Ross Gollan (Shettleston) in 2022 are named in the Men’s Scotland selection.

They will be joined by GB international Sasha Chepelin (Carnethy) and first time Scotland international Alasdair Campbell (Cambuslang).

Also joining the team is Ritchie Gardiner (Corstorphine) who won the Scottishathletics U23 title at Goat Fell in Arran with a strong performance.

The women’s team is also strong with three of the athletes previously representing GB on the mountains.

Scotland Women: Holly Page and Kirsty Dickson (both Carnethy), Megan Crawford (Fife AC) and Catriona MacDonald (Bellahouston Road Runners).
