Cademuir Rollercoaster and Junior Hill League update

Junior hill runners will compete for Scotland at the Junior Home International next month.

And we are delighted today to name 16 athletes to represent us at U20 and U17 level on Sunday 10 September.

Scotland are the hosts this year and the trial races at the Cademuir Rollercoaster were held over the same courses in Peebles.

The first two finishers in the U20 and U17 categories gained automatic selection that day and now the full teams have been picked.

Scotland Women:

U20: Rachel Giffen (Springburn Harriers); Esme Dougall (Giffnock North); Natasha Myles (Strathean Harriers); Isla Paterson (Gala Harriers)

U17: Katie Meek (Inverness Harriers); Kirsty Rankine (Gala Harriers); Jessica Taylor (Edinburgh AC); Ruth Walsh (Giffnock North)

Scotland Men:

U20: Jonathon Downey (Kilmarnock Harriers); Thomas Hilton (Moorfoot Runners); Hariss Pagett (Strathearn Harriers); Angus Wright (Team East Lothian)

U17: Struan Gatherer (Perth Strathtay Harriers); Kieran Hardie (Harmeny AC); Rowan Taylor (Lasswade); James Wotherspoon (Harmeny AC)
