The sixth race in the scottishathletics Junior Hill Running League takes place this Saturday in Peebles.
Hosted by Moorfoot Runners, the Cademuir Rollercoaster offers racing opportunities for U13s (born 2011 and 2012) all the way up to Seniors. Younger age groups take on the 3k course and the older ones racing over the full 6k route.
There are double points on offer for the Junior Hill League league, so anyone aiming to climb the leaderboard should make sure they get themselves on that start line.
The race will also serve as the selection opportunity for the forthcoming Junior Home International (JHI) on Sunday 10 September, which will take place over the same Cademuir course.
The first two in the U17s and U20s age groups will be guaranteed selection for Scotland.
And this year, for the first time, the JHI will also feature an Inter-District race in which teams from the three Scottish Districts (North, West and East) will take on a team from the North of England.
Selection for the district teams will also be decided after Saturday’s race.
