There are GP shares for our Scottish 5K Champs Women’s top three – Morag Millar, Nancy Scott and Lynne McKenna (photo by Neil Renton)
National titles, championship medals and pineapples were the fruits of the labour for our top runners at the Scottish 5K Champs.
And now we can add a swathe of Road Race Grand Prix shares to the haul from Silverknowes.
The Edinburgh race was the fourth in our series with shares awarded to Senior and U20 athletes according to a series of time standards.
Silverknowes this year saw no fewer than 11 men and six women get inside the performances required and land shares.
Eight athletes inside the A standard – four in the women’s division and four in the men’s – reflects the quality on the night which saw gold medals for Morag Millar of Central AC and Logan Rees of Fife AC.
Men A Standards:
Logan Rees 14:04; Jamie MacKinnon 14:06; Sean Chalmers 14:08; Callum Tharme 14:12
Men B Standards:
Hamish Hickey 14:16; Ryan Thomson 14:16; Jamie Burns 14:17; Ben Sandilands 14:21; Angus Smith 14:23; Christian Graham 14:26; Angus Wright 14:29
Women A Standards:
Morag Millar 15:54; Nancy Scott 15:58; Lynn McKenna 16:02; Millie McClelland-Brooks 16:06
