Enter online for British Cross Challenge races at Renfrew
The British Cross Challenge is coming back to Scotland next month – with races at Renfrew on Saturday 13 January.
Scone Palace in Perth was the backdrop last year and it is great to have this major cross country again being hosted by scottishathletics, the Road Running and Cross Country Commission and our Officials.
The Inter-District XC Champs are part of the programme as well as the Celtic Nations XC. The venue is King George V park in Broadloan, Renfrew, and the course is very flat.
These are all effectively incorporated into the Cross Challenge races for all ages from U13 through to Seniors/Masters.
Entries have now opened online and will close early in January – so please do your entry now and do not miss out.
At U20 level, there are separate races under the World Athletics age groups for those seeking to win GB and NI vests for the World Cross.
Competition Information

A few more points to note at this stage:
*Inter-District teams for East, West and North of Scotland will be selected by District Reps following the Lindsays District XC at three venues
*Athletes representing their District will receive a complimentary entry into the Inter-District and UK Cross Challenge race in their respective age group and are not required to complete an individual entry online.
*Athletes representing Scottish Student Sport and North England will also receive a complimentary entry.
*International representative athletes competing in the Celtic XC will also be entered automatically into the UK Cross Challenge races. We are expecting Scotland to compete against Northern Ireland and Ireland in this competition (with Wales having elected not to send teams).
