It was a summer to remember for Scottish elite athletes across a number of championship events.

But few would argue with pinnacle was Team Scotland landing no fewer than eight medals at Birmingham 2022 to post the best tally at a Commonwealth Games for 40 years.

And we are delighted now to share with you a superb album of all the photos from Birmingham take by our very own, Bobby Gavin.

Bobby didn’t miss a beat as he set out with the clear goal of securing action photos of the 33-strong team in track and field and marathon.
