World Athletics Champs Schedule (in local time)
The World Champs in Eugene are almost upon us – as the first of three major track and field championships this summer takes centre stage.
Our 11-strong Scottish contingent are in America with the British Athletics team with hopes high for strong performances at Hayward Field.
Olympic medallists Laura Muir and Josh Kerr lead the way among four 1500m runners while Eilish McColgan is doubling up over 5000m and 10,000m.
It should make for exciting viewing – even allowing for the fact that many of the finals will take place between 2am and 4am our time!
We’ve laid out the schedule for Scottish athletes below. The list does feature potential semi-finals and finals while noting, of course, that there are no guarantees sport at this rarefied, global level.
(We’ve listed British times and would point out that on occasion the date may be different (i.e July 16 in America is already July 17 here). So, for your information, when we list the date at the top, the event may only be a couple of hours into that day (post-midnight).
