scottishathletics are keen to invite athletes and coaches interested in improving their performance through nutrition to a special webinar with Clinical and Sports Dietitian, Cara Sloss, on Wednesday 26 November (7pm to 8.30pm).

In this session, Cara will provide an overview of sports nutrition tailored for track and field athletes. You’ll learn how to fuel effectively for training, competition, and overall

health, including:

  • Nutritional requirements before, during, and after training
  • How to fuel for competition and optimise health to reduce injury and illness risk
  • Practical strategies to implement good nutrition habits in everyday life
  • Understanding the signs of under-fuelling and tips to periodise your nutrition alongside your training

There will also be plenty of time at the end for questions, so you can get advice to support your athletic goals.

Please note this webinar is aimed at any affiliated club member under the age of 25. Others may be permitted to join if of interest, but priority will be given to those in the above age category.

About Cara Sloss:

Cara is a Clinical and Sports Dietitian with over 15 years of experience. She holds an MSc in Sport and Exercise Nutrition and is a registered practitioner on the Sport and Exercise Nutrition Register (SENr).

Cara currently works as the sports nutritionist for the British Athletics Talent Hub at Leeds Beckett University, alongside freelance work with athletes across the UK, and also maintains a part-time clinical dietitian role in the NHS.
