Dundee Hawkhill Harriers double at Night of the 10ks (2022 report)

The 2023 track and field season is just about with us – and our first championship event will be the Night of the 10ks on Friday evening.

The Glasgow Athletics Association are hosts for races organised under the auspices of the British Milers Club at Crownpoint in Glasgow.

We are pleased to confirm that Seniors and Masters athletes will contest Scottish Championship medals that evening, as has been the case over recent years prior to the global pandemic.

Key information online (see on right of Event section page)

Running 10,000m on the track is something that the GAA and scottishathletics are keen to develop with the aim being to improve quality and depth in the Scottish rankings.

So the GAA Miler Meet Night of 10ks will be the Scottish Championship (Seniors and Masters) event for the 2022 track season and will provide paced 10,000m races for Scotland’s top male and female endurance athletes (U20 and older).

This Night of 10ks is essentially the only opportunity for endurance runners to compete in a paced 10,000m race on the track at their own performance level in 2022 in Scotland – so we hope that runners take this opportunity to chase a new PB.
