Make that two! Nicole wins second bronze relay medal in Women 4x400m

Nicole Yeargin claimed the second Olympic medal of her career in a stunning Paris 2024 track finale.

The Team GB quartet took bronze in the Women’s 4x400m final in the Stade de France.

Nicole was on the third leg and played a key role with a split of 49.9 seconds before Amber Anning anchored the team home behind runaway winners the United States and silver medallists the Netherlands.

Victoria Ohuruogu and Laviai Neilsen had set up the performance and when Anning crossed the line it was in a British Record 3:19.72.

And that made it two from two for Nicole with the Pitreavie AAC athlete winning bronze in the Mixed Relay last weekend after racing in the heats of that event.

‘I am thrilled to win a second bronze medal in the relays,’ said Nicole.

‘I definitely worried myself the first 200m but I just stuck to my plan, came home strong and I knew Amber had it and she did.

‘It is wonderful being part of this team and I am excited about what the future holds.’
