Neil Gourley has opened his indoor season in the United States with a superb performance and new Scottish indoor best.
The Scots clocked a new PB of 13:16.24 for 5000m indoors at an event in Boston.
That was a big improvement on Neil’s own 13:34 which had been top of the Scottish indoor rankings for the distance.
We make it the fourth best on UK all-time list for 5000m and an excellent early marker for the season ahead for the GB and Scotland international from Giffnock North AC.
Also in the States, at a meet in Colorado Springs, Rebecca Grieve clocked 1:32.8 for 600m for a university record for University of New Mexico. That’s fourth in the Scottish all-time rankings at U20.
