scottishathletics are delighted to confirm that Pamela Robson has been appointed as our National Disability Pathway Officer.

Pamela will be based at our office at Caledonia House in Edinburgh and has started work with us this week.

Prior to her appointment, Pamela worked as an ASN teacher at Balwearie High School in Fife and has also worked and volunteered for Disability Sport Fife for a number of years delivering athletics coaching sessions for young athletes with a disability.

In addition, she has been part of the management team for the CPISRA World Games and she tutors for Scottish Disability Sport.

The National Disability Pathway Officer’s responsibilities will include:

*Developing the pathway for disabled athletes between club athletics and the performance programmes

*Liaising with selected performance athletes to assist in the management of their programme

*Supporting scottishathletics clubs to develop their provision for disabled athletes

*Talent identification, talent transfer and developing partnerships with other relevant agencies to support those areas

*Further enhancing disability coach education & development ensuring integration, where appropriate, and tailored support where required

Colin Hutchison, Head of Development, will line manage Pamela but the role has responsibilities across development, performance and coaching.

Pamela will be working for us for a number of hours on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
