Entry lists for Lindsays National XC – 109 of our clubs represented

Tuesday 15th February 2022

Entries list on our Event section page (on right)

The Lindsays National XC at Falkirk has drawn entries from athletes from more clubs than ever before!

We are headed back to Callendar Park on Saturday 26 February as this hugely popular event returns after missing out in 2021.

And, while the overall number at 2238 athletes is a little down on recent Record-breaking years like 2019 and 2020, it is great to see the National XC reaching more and more clubs.

Representatives from no fewer 109 Scottish clubs are now listed for races on February 26 (with that number having been in the 90s in the past).

The length and breadth of Scotland is covered from North Uist AAC and Stornoway RAC in the Western Isles to hosts Falkirk Victoria Harriers and all points in between.

There are a handful of clubs making their Lindsays National XC debut, too, as the landscape of athletics in Scotland grows and evolves.

The tally of 382 for the Senior Women’s race has only been bettered twice over the years (in 2019 and 2020). It’s the same number as entered in 2017.

Thank you to everyone who has entered for Falkirk and to our clubs for unstinting support of championship events – with the Lindsays Cross Country Season making an emphatic return this winter.

The Lindsays National XC simply does not happen without volunteer help and we are seeking assistance for this year, please.

Falkirk Victoria Harriers are of course our host club and heavily involved in the big job of setting up the course as well as venue owners, Falkirk Community Trust.

We’re pleased to already have offers from volunteers from Carnegie Harriers, Lochaber AC, Lasswade AC, Perth Road Runners, Penicuik Harriers, PH Racing Club and Edinburgh AC to help out at Callendar Park.

We need a few more with offers to Alex Jackson at alex@runningresults.co.uk by Friday 18 February.

Please let us know either Early Shift (10.30am to 1pm) or Late Shift (1pm to 3.30pm).

Thanks for your support.
