Meggan lands World Juniors gold

Meggan Dawson-Farrell in action in the wheelchair 1500m at Glasgow 2014

 

Meggan Dawson-Farrell has followed up her Hampden appearance with Team Scotland by winning gold at the World Juniors.

The Alloa-based athlete has been competing at Stoke Mandeville over the past few days at the IWAS Junior Champs.

And Dawson-Farrell won the T54 1500m in 3.52.12 – after finishing seventh in the Commonwealth Games in the same event. Β This week she is representing Team GB and NI.

All at scottishathletics would like to congratulate Meggan, her family, and coach Ian Mirfin. The 21-year-old had finished fourth in a 400m event in the same competition also this week.
