Scottish endurance athletes performed well in Manchester last night with Kilbarchan AAC’s Josh Mungin leading the way – with a Scottish U17 Record.

Josh clocked 1.49.87 to win his 800m race and clock a European U18 qualifying standard for GB and NI. That time also betters the Scottish U17 mark for 800m held by Ben Greenwood (1.5042).

Two more Kilbarchan AAC athletes, Jack and Oliver Patton, are celebrating selections for Scotland at Loughborough this week and did so with PB runs. Jack was in the same race as Josh and clocked 1.52.23. Oliver raced 1500m and posted 3.48.26.

Just to add to the Kilbarchan feelgood another U17 athlete, Alistair Street, won his 800m race in 1.51.87.

There were other good runs and those included Andrew McWilliam (Lasswade AAC) at 3.54.27; Logan Beagley (Livingston AC) at 3.55.96, Finlay Ross (Harmeny AC) at 3.55.23. Andrew McGill (Livingston) was at 1.50.08 in the 800 races.

On the female side we note PBs from Pippa Carcas (Edinburgh AC) at 3000m at 9.55.65 and Emily McNicol (Law and District AAC) at 4.32.00.
