Enter now for Lindsays National XC Relays at Cumbernauld
scottishathletics and Lindsays are delighted to confirm a new, four-year sponsorship agreement for the Lindsays Cross Country Season.
And, in a further exciting move, Lindsays will now support seven Scottish National Championship events in road racing.
Sponsorship backing is very important for scottishathletics and helps us work to generate a higher profile for athletics in Scotland.
Content from the Lindsays Cross Country Season last year drew a stunning 3.1 million views and #LindsaysXC is now a recognisable brand within our club community.
With a year remaining on the current deal, positive talks between ourselves and Lindsays have now led to an agreement to support the Lindsays Cross Country Season through to 2028-29.
In road racing, we will create the Lindsays Road Race Series for championships across five distances – like the 5K at Silverknowes – as well as supporting the Lindsays Young Athletes Road Races and Lindsays National Road Relays (both usually in March).
We will generate content under the #LindsaysRoad hashtag and banner and will urge athletes and clubs to support these championship events in large numbers.
The Lindsays Road Race Series sponsorship will run for the calendar years 2026, 2027, 2028 and 2029.

#LindsaysXC content delivered stunning 3.1 million reach – in one season
Ian Beattie, Chief Operating Officer of Lindsays, said: ‘We are excited to not just extend our relationship with scottishathletics, but to expand it.
‘Given the longevity of our sponsorship of the Lindsays Cross Country Season, we are proud to see the way it has grown and the way in which clubs and individual runners enjoy and engage with it,
‘That success makes it a natural step for us to get behind road racing events as well, hopefully ensuring there is a pathway for even more people to share the camaraderie and competition of being part of Scotland’s running community.’

‘I am absolutely delighted to confirm this superb sponsorship support from Lindsays,’ said Colin Hutchison, chief executive of scottishathletics.
‘It has now been a long-standing agreement for cross country and I think everyone will have noticed the growth in profile of our big events there.
‘But now the partnership will evolve even more with a series of Scottish Road Race Championships coming under the Lindsays brand and banner.
‘I think it makes perfect sense because the audience – of athletes, clubs, coaches and volunteers – is very similar.
‘Last year, we delivered an outcome of 3.1 million views of content from the Lindsays Cross Country Season.
‘This strongly backed up our own anecdotal feelings about comms impact and indeed that 3.1 million figure was only across our own channels. We know there is even more #LindsaysXC content out there (via club channels and mainstream media for example).
‘So we see the momentum and the room for growth. Now, with the addition of the road events, the support of Lindsays for athletics in Scotland will be prominent for nine or ten months of the year.
‘I want to thank Lindsays for this support – it is very much appreciated by ourselves and our clubs.’
