The Lindsays Cross Country Season action returns this weekend as we host the Lindsays District XC Champs at three venues.
All the preparations are well underway to host the East at Stirling Uni, the West at a new venue in Erskine (Barwood Park) and the North at the familiar backdrop of Gordonstoun in Elgin.
At this stage we say a big thank you to everyone who has signed up to race and our host clubs and organisations who will stage the events with a helping hand from an army of volunteers.
Central AC and Stirling Uni are our hosts in the East; Moray Road Runners and Gordonstoun School will organise the North; Kilbarchan AAC will help deliver the West event.
The overall numbers for the three events are just short of 2300 in terms of names on the start-lists.
That figure breaks down as: East – 1002; West – 982; North – 291.
Medals are up for grabs for individuals and teams in all the age groups and detail on those (how many to count) is on our Road Running and Cross Country Commission website.
As usual, Inter-District selections will be made after this weekend’s races.
That event takes place at Alexandra Park in Glasgow on Saturday 11 January with the Inter-Districts part of a British Cross Challenge as they were at Renfrew back in January this year.
