Lindsays Cross Country Season – athletes ready for District XC events

Mud up ahead.

Forget the ‘Caution Runners’ signs for road races, mud up ahead seems guaranteed this weekend as our Lindsays Cross Country Season takes centre stage again.

After exciting National events at Cumbernauld and Kirkcaldy, the Lindsays District XC will happen at three venues across the country.

The University of Stirling is the venue for the East; Gordonstoun School once again hosts the North; and the West takes places at another familiar venue – close to the Ayrshire Athletics Arena at Kilmarnock.

All three seem certain to deliver excitement and enjoyment for athletes of all ages and stages – as well as mud. We say a huge thank you to our clubs for great support for these events.

There are 2347 athletes entered in total with pretty much 1000 each at the East and the West and very strong numbers in the North with just over 350, which is superb to see.

Thanks in advance to our hosts clubs and organisers as well as all the volunteer Endurance Officials and to the Road Running and Cross Country Commission folk involved this weekend.

All the relevant information for Stirling, Gordonstoun and Kilmarnock is available via the links further down this page.

A separate link for each event takes you to start-lists (currently) with these to become Live Results (following the events).

Remember to use hashtag #LindsaysXC on Twitter this weekend and we hope to bring you details and coverage from all three venues on here (on Sunday or Monday).
