Kit Carriers needed for British Indoor events in Glasgow

Calling all clubs!

British Athletics are staging two major events in Glasgow in February as both the Muller Indoor GP and the SPAR British Champs come to the Emirates Arena.

And we’re pleased to confirm now that clubs are invited to submit names of young athletes ahead of a ballot for kit carriers.

The Muller Indoor GP is on Saturday 15 February and the SPAR British Champs are the following weekend – February 22/23.

In total, British Athletics are looking for 30 kit carriers and are asking Scottish clubs to nominate one female and one male from their U17 and U15 ranks.

All nominations will go into a ballot with 12 names drawn for Muller Indoor Grand Prix and 18 drawn for SPAR British Athletics Indoor Championships. The results of the ballot will be announced in January.

CRITERIA

Nominations must be:

* An athlete either U15 or U17 (over 13 years of age)

*A scottishathletics member

*First claim member of the club they are nominated by

*Available for both events (however, can only be drawn for a maximum of one event)

*Have permission from their parent/guardian to attend the event and for videos/photos of their child to be used on Scottish Athletics and British Athletics digital platforms

Club’s nominations must be submitted by the official club contact personal along with the nominees parent/guardian’s email address no later than the 9 January 2020.
