Keely Hodgkinson returned to Glasgow and blasted out a 400m Personal Best as she prepares for the World Indoors.

The 800m World Record holder proved she is in brilliant shape with victory over two laps at the Emirates Arena – after racing there once before in a British Champs.

Training partner Georgia Hunter Bell was in top form, too, with a fine win over 800m to post a Scottish All-Comers’ Record for that event indoors.

Their performances thrilled around 1000 fans in the stands and viewers on live stream options across North America, European Athletics and across the rest of the UK.

Georgia clocked 1:57.80 for an impressive run only a few days after it emerged she will be elevated to 1500m silver for last summer’s World Champs.

Off the track, both athletes were brilliant representatives for the sport – with Georgia explaining her plan to return to Scotland for the Glasgow 2026 Commonwealth Games.

Jack Higgins landed a World Indoors qualifying time in the Men’s 1500m. With wavelights in operation for the first time in Scotland, Jack recorded 3:35.60 for the win.

Third place in that race went to Andrew McGill as the Scot clocked a fine 3:37.69.

There was a solid Scottish performance in the Women’s 1500m, too, as Erin Wallace went inside the British Athletics qualifying time for the World Indoors.

Back on her home patch, the Giffnock North AC athlete was at 4:04.20 for her third place in a race won by Revee Walcott-Nolan in 4:01.50.

The Men’s 800m saw a Scottish U20 Record for Matthew McKenna as he posted 1:47.19 in second place. The race was won in 1:46.48 by Ethan Hussey.
