Glasgow Jaguars are on the move again as they head down to London for the second fixture of this year’s campaign.

After an excellent fourth place finish at Eton, Jaguars, are currently in seventh position in the 16-team Premier Division.

The competition will be fierce with Birchfield Harriers, Blackheath and Bromley, Newham and Essex Beagles, Sale Harriers Manchester, Shaftesbury Barnet, Swansea and Woodford Green providing the opposition on this occasion and 60 athletes, coaches and team managers are making the trip to Ashton.

For a number of the team it will be a second weekend against top UK opposition with Finlay Waugh(sprints), Ethan Pottie(sprints), Teddy Tchoudja(Shot), Emily Craig(400MH), Erin Campbell(100MH) and Sarah Malone(sprints), having competed in the British Championships in Manchester.

Scottish Senior internationalists, Reuben Nairne (PV), Max Leslie (400M) and Dawn Russell (Jav) will be looking for strong performances while Junior internationalists Meghan Porterfield (Discus and Shot) will be looking to gain further experience against the top UK throwers.

Commonwealth Games heptathlete Holly McArthur makes a welcome return to competition and goes in the sprint hurdles and javelin, while internationals Rachel Callan(400MH) and Hannah Lawler(PV) pull on the pink and black for the first time this season.

Making their debut for the team are top ranked Junior hammer thrower, Callum Hendry, and highly ranked Vaulter Andrew McFarlane.

Ally Mitchell goes in the horizontal jumps, while Calum Mackenzie and Scott Hannaway add strength to the relay squad.

Newcomers Lorne Kerr adds strength in depth to the 400 squad, while Scottish international Sarah Coutts and Margot Wyroll are a strong combination in the 1500. Caroline Harvey and Robyn Taylor will contest a very competitive Triple Jump as they make their debut for the team.

Our six highly graded Officials gain maximum points for the team and the team is supported by team managers, Diane Ramsey, Keith Ridley and Gordon Innes.
