Glasgow Jaguars head to Manchester this weekend to compete in their first Premier Division match in the National Athletics league.
Scottish athletes will relish first class competition with Birchfield Harriers, Trafford AC, Bristol and West, Blackheath and Bromley, City of Sheffield and Dearne AC, Shaftesbury Barnet Harriers, and Windsor Slough Eton and Hounslow AC.
Exam commitments and clashes with domestic events have weakened the team somewhat, but a number of Scotland’s top young athletes are looking to build on impressive early season openers to further strengthen their case for Scotland and GB and NI selections in a very busy season.
Among those athletes expected to be involved with Glasgow Jaguars this weekend are Brodie Young, Kyle Alexander, Cameron Forbes, Andrew Murphy and Andrew Peck on the men’s side.
Among the female athletes we expect to compete are Rachel Callan, Hannah Cameron, Kathryn Christie, Lauren Stoddart, Teddy Tchoudja and Chloe Lambert.
The Opentrack system means results will automatically appear online and Vinco will be live streaming the event on the day at Sports City.
Enjoying sponsorship from Glasgow Life, Tru Wealth and Joma, the athletes, team management, Officials and supporters will be urged to use social media platforms to share photos from the match.
The #peoplemakeGlasgow hashtag will help a wider audience appreciate and acknowledge the support the newly constituted club will receive from Glasgow Life.
