Indoor Shot Put Comp
There will be an Indoor Shot Put competition in Glasgow early in the New Year as part of the GAA Miler Meet.
It is another ‘event-specific’ initiative designed to seek to improve throwing standards and give an indoor competition opportunity ahead of the National Open and other championship events.
The Emirates Arena in Glasgow will stage the event on the same day as the GAA Miler Meet hosts the Scottish 3000m Champs.
Throwers are invited to come along and compete from 3pm on Saturday 3 January and all athletes will receive six throws.

It is cheaper to pre-enter with those costing £5 and pre-entries will close on December 23. Entries on the day will be £10. Declarations will close an hour before the event starts.
