Eight young hill runners picked to race for Scotland in Slovakia

Young Scottish hill runners are headed for an international event next month.

And we’re delighted to have selected teams to race in Slovakia in the International Youth Cup.

Donovaly is the venue on Saturday 14 June with the races being uphill only over 5.8k (with 513m climb).

The event is for U18 athletes and we will be represented as follows:

Scotland Women:

Nancy Corrie (Harmeny AC); Hania Czebreszuk (Aberdeen AAC); Kirsty Rankine (Gala Harriers); Cerys Wright (Lasswade AC)

Scotland Men:

Ben Hodson (Stewartry AC); Joel Gillan (Central AC); Billy Sutherland (Ross County); Lachlan Thomas (Ross County)

Many congratulations to these young athletes on their selections and well done to their families, coaches and the clubs involved in their development over the past few years.

We make it first Scotland vests for Joel, Nancy and Hania.
