Headed back to Italy: hill runners picked for Scotland

Scotland teams enjoy success in Italy last September

Hill runners will represent Scotland at a popular event in Italy next month.

We are delighted to select eight athletes to head to the Nasego VK and Trofeo Nasego events on the weekend of May 24/25.

This year the event is incorporating six nations and three athletes will be required to race in each event.

Two younger athletes, Thomas Hilton (Moorfoot) and Isla Paterson (Gala Harriers), are selected for the VK event only (athletes must be over 20 for the classic up and down race in Italy).

Scotland Women:

Scout Adkin (Moorfoot Runners); Kirsty Dickson (Carnethy HRC); Catriona MacDonald (Bellahouston Road Runners); U20 Isla Paterson (Gala Harriers)

Scotland Men:

Ewan Brown (Corstrophine AAC); Ross Gollan (East Sutherland); Robbie Simpson (Deeside Runners); U20 Thomas Hilton (Moorfoot Runners)
