Calling hill runners!
Scottish athletes are invited to compete at the British Mountain Running Inter-Counties event on Sunday 7 May.
Please contact your district rep before 24 April if you would like to race at the Inter-Counties Mountain Running Championships in Sedbergh on Sunday 7 May.
The course is 14km with 760m of ascent/descent. Teams consist of four athletes and a fifth athlete if they are U23 (born on or after 1 January 2001).

The 2023 scottishathletics Junior Hill League is coming soon!
In fact, the first races are at Dumyat, Stirling, on Saturday 22 April as we begin the series.
Points will be awarded to the first 18 individuals in each category: winner 25 points, 2nd 20 points, 3rd 17 points, 4th 15 points, 5th 14 points reducing by one-point intervals down to 18th 1 point.
Double points are awarded at Cademuir (August 12) and Creag Bheag (September 17).
The final league score comprises the athlete’s best three race scores, plus two bonus points for each race completed above the minimum of three.
Three races needed to qualify. Memento to all who complete three or more.

24 June: Eildon Junior Races (Melrose)
22 July: Braemar Junior Games (Braemar)
12 August: Cademuir Rollercoaster (Peebles)
17 September: Creag Bheag (Kingussie)
23 September: Alex Brett Cioch Mhor Junior (Dingwall)
The league categories are: U20 (born 2004-2006); U17 (born 2007-2008); U15 (born 2009-2010).
While those are the categories, most events have races for younger athletes, too. Please check web pages when available.
*NB Age categories are different to Cross Country and Track & Field
