Five Scottish Para athletes land grants from Sophie Hahn Fund

Five Scottish Para athletes are being supported over the next year by the Sophie Hahn Para Fund.

The support is issued via the Lloyd Cowan Bursary and in the Para category there is assistance for 19 athletes and eight coaches,

Five of those athletes are Scots and they will receive up to £500 of financial backing/Nike kit to help support training and competition.

Ambassador Sophie Hahn said: ‘It’s about helping deliver the right support for Para-athletics at the right time.’

The Scots supported for 2026-27 are:

*Callum Ballantyne (Cumbernauld AAC)

*Niamh Currie (Disability Sport Fife)

*Adam Donnachie (Central AC)

*Ben Rowlings (Red Star AC)

*Rebecca Scott (Stevenage and North Herts)

Rebecca said: ‘Financial support is so important for the longevity of Para sport and enabling athletes to really excel.

‘It is also so nice to know others believe in you and that helps provide motivation to keep going.’
