The second scottishathletics Mid Trail Champs take place this weekend – with the event returning to Falkland estate in Fife.
And the overall entries are up slightly with 180 men and women having put themselves forward for the races over 15k and 10k respectively.
With 27 junior athletes entered in total at U15 and U17 level those races have been combined into two and the timetable issued previously has been amended.
Under-20 athletes take part in the senior races but there are medals on offer and, indeed, international places at the Karrimor Trail Race in the Lake District in June.

Inverclyde’s Andrew Douglas, who won the Castle of Mey 10k last weekend, looks likely to be among the favourites in the men’s race where the team race required six to score. Other contenders may well include Ben Hukins, Murray Strain and Patryk Gierjatowicz.
It is four to score for the women over their 10k route with Edel Mooney back to defend her title. The entry list also includes the likes of Megan Crawford, Dianne Lauder and Emma and Oonagh Dunnett.
The men’s race has seen numbers increase from 104 in 2013 to 116 this year but there was a slight drop in the women’s entry with a number of other events this weekend including the Inter Counties Hill Race and the GAA Miler Meet.
Cambuslang won the inaugural men’s team title last year with Edinburgh AC seeing off the opposition among the women.
